You could get a kit from Warprints. A bit pricier than your average Heng Long but probably better quality.

That has come close a few times to be honest.
I just know my luck though, I shell out a bazillion dollars for a fantastic Warprints version & receive it in time to see the more justifiable RTR version released :/
Having just got past the end of year dance concert for the Girls & all the costumes & detritus that goes with it keeps me from anything Warprints mate :(
Surely, one of them, will tap into the bottomless pit that is Hetzer owners just waiting for the chance :eh:

I think you will have to wait a very long time for a RTR 1/16 Hetzer.

I suspect the challenges of getting a gearbox to fit in the small sharply pointed hull at the front of a Hetzer are just too great. As it is Warprints came up with an imaginative solution however to mass produce this, would be too complicated and expensive to produce as a RTR model/toy. The Warprints model in 1/16 is crammed full when complete, so much in such a small hull.

Why not buy the STL files from Warprint, then find somebody locally to you whose hobby is 3D printing and get them to print it. You could spread the cost. If I were to build a second Hetzer that is the path I would take. My son bought me the STL files for a birthday gift and I had a nightmare printing it. For some reason 3D printing is my Achilles Heel. I would rather solder brass than 3d print I am useless at printing .

The Warprint Hetzer is a good model, my only complaint is the idler wheel. It is 4 hole idler which makes the model either (Depending on whose book you read) a very very late and rare German Hetzer or a much more common Swiss G13. I turned a 6 hole idler to make a mid/late Hetzer.
I know I should not complain but if the Warprint model was to include the two different Saukopfblende and a 6/8/12 hole idler wheel it would give modellers a lot more choice from early to very late.
