Hello from the Netherlands

Hello all,

New to the site (although i've read a lot of posts here over the years).
Started my journey back in what im guessing was around 2015 when i got my first and only tank atm, a Taigen Early Tiger 1 with metal hull and the zinc gearbox.

Drove it a lot outside with a friend of mine who also bought one, until my Tiger's gearbox broke down in the snow. (very realisitic!)
after that it sat still for a few years, until i decided to fix it up in 2020.

Got myself a Waltersons gearbox, steel sprocket/idler, roadwheels, tracks and metal IR turret and repainted the whole tank.
I took inspiration from the kampfgruppe fehrmann Tigers.

after that it sat still for a few more years until last week.
turns out the recoil mechanism died somehow and the tank wouldn't fire again.

got myself a new recoil unit and the Taigen v3 electronics (quite a nice upgrade from v1)
however for some reason the audio volume is extremely low, tested with old and new speaker, and old and new volume knobs.
anybody got an idea? :S
My bet is on a bad soundcard but maybe I'm missing something.

Anyway here are a few pics of the tank :D

Loved that line!

Welcome to the forum Shawn. I don't have as answer to your questions - and many on the forum do not look in the welcome threads. We have an "Electronics" section viewforum.php?f=31 my hunch you'll get a quicker responce if you post your volume question there.

Again, welcome aboard.

Welcome from Ontario, 🇨🇦 Canada!
Great mixing and matching of components to improve your Tiger, and body modifications, too! I think you'll enjoy the forum.

Mike.

Welkom, ASTYuu, from way across the seas. I have a few Taigen ( ;) ) Taigen tanks, five of which are Tiger 1s ( ). Most I have converted to V3 because of the sounds. I have not noticed a volume drop in any of the conversions, although I have always used the new rheostat provided. My next move would be to try an aftermarket speaker. Keep us informed of how it's going.
