Late to the party on this.
I was going to rebuild my other Tamiya Leopard 1, as a second Danish 1A5DK from the Black Recon Brigade.

At the moment it is a bit far gone to ensure completion in the time constraints.

As the Gepard had been purchased, the could be a suitable candidate for my incompetent butchery.

A book was acquired.

As the Belgium Gepards are essentially the same as the German variety, it will give options regarding markings.

A small start has been made, by removing the moulded handles, and replacing them with wire. Side skirt from the left side has been removed.

For a modern model, the details are not as crisp as the 35 year old Tamiya Leopard 1A4. There are some glaring differences which will need addressing. There are a lot of holes required.

Oh well at least the paint is simple.

Always an interesting subject. There is one Tamiya Gepard in our club I think although I haven't seen it for at least 4 years. I've heard the electronics for them are way beyond my ability. I'm sure you will finish it before my Conqueror :D
