I have always wanted to build a USN 4-piper DD that served both world wars & came across files for a Clemson Class DD on CGTrader.
https://naval-encyclopedia.com/ww1/us/c ... royers.php
It is offered in 1/72 scale but I'm scaling up to 1/48 to run alongside another model I have.
Overall, files are adequate for standoff scale which is fine given more accurate fitting & armament files are available online.

Who says size doesn't matter?

I looked at the other things in the photo, too. Is there a CostCo on Hangzhou? And a pretty kitty!

Yes, we have a Costco here as well several Sam's Clubs. Proof that Chinese are among the most viral consumers on Earth.
Cali the calico is our office cat who runs the RD center & oversees our collection of Bambu printers.
Have found an issue with another one of the hull files, the one shown on the plate. Will see if the Dremel can resolve it since I hate to bin it after a 26 hour print.

I don’t know if it’s something wrong with my metal state after years of working in 1/16 but I would be interested to see one in 1/16 and this one at 1/48 looks plenty big enough to fill a table and house everything needed to run it

Gee, Exhibitiedbrute: you're worried about your "metal state"; whereas, I am worried about my mental state. I'd trade you worries anytime.
