Here is my Wyforce tug which started life as the Hobby Engine Southampton
Swapped out the toy grade electronics with a 4 channel rx with twin esc's giving me independant screw control and fitted a revolving radar and working nav lights

I know many would find me odd, but tug boats are my favorite type: they are like water bound tractors, unsung heroes, chug-a-chug!

Me too Doc. Can't explain why...

Took a cruise YEARS ago and a month later when the film was developed I was asked "where did all the tug boat pictures come from"...

How long are those Hobby Engine Southamptons? When I was looking, tug kits were either small or HUGE.

That's about the right size. Seems that when I was looking a while back most topped out at 16-18" or you could get the Miss Darby (?) a huge monter of a ship powered by car batteries.

Did a quick google search on it and its 36th scale

Thanks Alan, when I catch up on tank projects I may look again at the boat projects (but I do have a 16th LCT Mk4 planned too).

I don't have a tugboat, but I did print an LCM3 landing craft. I still need to buy all the motors and electronics to make it run. I may just use one of my unused HL 7.0 boards to run it.
