When you change either motors or the mainboard to a different version, sometimes the direction of the motors is different. In order to fix it, you may need to swap the motor wires around. Motor 1 may need to be swapped to the Motor 2 slot or maybe the red wire needs to be connected to the black wire to get the motor running in the correct direction. Connecting black to red, does not hurt a brushed motor. All it does is change the direction of the motor. You may need to swap motors from slot 1 to slot 2 AND connect the black to red and red to black to get it running in the right direction. You will have to play with the different combination to get the motors running in the right direction.
