So i have a PanTiger with plastic tracks. Can i ask what people use to push the track pins out?

I bought a watch strap repair kit ages ago. The watch pin tool works well for everything I've had to work on.

Onother pin or drill bit and hammer.

I got two kinds via Amazon, but Amazon seems to block my copying the photos and specific URLs for specific products. So for what it's worth:

I also just use an extra track pin held in my shaky hand with a pliers and tapped with a light hammer. This last method worked for years until I found the watch repair tools. (P.S. a search of types of watch repair tools can bring up some other handy things for working on RC AFVs.)

Rather than start a new thread is there a special tool for removing pins from Mato tracks? I have no problems with any other manufacturer (HL,Tamiya,Taigen, Kenny Kong) and I have used Mato's as spare track links on hulls but in that case I wasn't worried about the mangling of the links to remove the pins.

Mato tracks ins shouldn't pose any special problems... I use a pushpin on those too, gently tapping it out with a small hobby hammer. What's the issue you're having with them?

FYI - some plastic tracks have thinner track pins than most so you have to be careful to use a smaller-diameter tool to start driving it out; otherwise you can split the plastic

In one or two cases, I've seen track pins actually all driven in the wrong direction, so they were were not easy to remove at all... could that be done by mistake at the factory?

I've never been able to budge the Mato pins without having to twist and mangle them. Never had this issue with any other track manufacturer where the tapping a push pin method works fine

I use these with a small brass hammer for the stubborn ones or my CA glued pins as I glue the pins on my 3D printed tracks.
