Alan,
Good Afternoon,
So this is a Pro 2? Surely doesn't have the metal road wheels. How about the suspension arms? How about the Gearbox? Is it black metal? (Steel) The Main Gun, does it have a Two Piece Barrel? (recoil setup) Looks like someone saw the word 'PRO' in the Warehouse and figured 'Good Enough' Sorry to hear this. Lets see what they do to recompense you Time and Expense...
regards,
Painless

Hi Alan.
When you buy from Ali, and they offer several versions from basic to pro or whatever comes next, mostly they show a list above the version you choose which shows the features the tank has.
Metal gearboxes,
Metal tracks,
Metal roadwheels,
Metal swingarms,
Gun recoil and so on.
Please go to the add on Ali and see if you can find out which features your model should have.
I know, the adds on Ali can be a little tricky.
But, nevertheless you can make a beautiful model out of it, should you decide to keep it!
I got the El Cheapo version, all plastic (exept for the Schürzen, I made them out of aluminum):

Not by me mate. Its all good info.
Im just going to make an observation here........................
Says a lot for ordering from the likes of Mr Forgebear if you are blessed to be in that Northern Hemisphere. (and all over the globe for that matter)
You get what you order, no confusing clicking, honest transaction, and full after sales service.
For me to purchase from Mr Bear, the exchange rate is horrific, the postage even worse, (neither are in his control) but the service and support is still first class.
I buy from Ali as its cheap.
I dont expect any after sales service or support.
Figures and foliage is all I buy from them.
Any tanks( seems like ages) or significant purchases are made thru main-stream suppliers.
Thanks for your open info on a tank purchase from Ali.
I shall not try the same stunt

About the metal gearbox, maybe you can feel it when you lift it on the front.
The metal gearboxes are a bit heavier that the plastic ones.
But opening the model isn‘t a big deal either to check what‘s inside.
Just 5 or 6 screws to take out, don‘t remember exactly.
By now I ordered 3 models on Ali, all 3 the cheapest version.
It is always a bit tricky, as you found out, if something should go wrong.
I got a Panzer IV and a StuG, both for €128 each, and now another StuG is on its way, which cost me €124.
Only issue I had, the remote control from the P4
didn‘t work.
Opened it and there was a loose wire inside, easy fix!
I do hope you still cann enjoy your purchase and make something nice of it too!
Regards,
Rob.
