I decided to build this tank as a first introduction to building and configuring a 3D-printed RC tank. Start small :D

Worked really well, learned a lot, especially about the Bambu Labs CyberBrick ecosystem.

Apart from introducing myself, this is my first post so if something needs to be done differently with regards to the forum, please let me know.

YAY! Nice start: fun! How does that little Dinkus run? It looks as if the suspension and tracks are quite heavy in relation to the tank, so I would expect them to work rather well. Is this perchance ( :D ) you? https://makerworld.com/en/models/141813 ... Id-1472967

I'd bet that the others here on RCTW would be interested in what (if any) problems you had, what went better than you thought. I don't have a 3D printer but I am interested in your experience for, as I said before, it's definitely the way to go!

Tank looks pretty robust. I would think it would be good for kids to use.

The tracks do work well but they are printed "print-in-place". This saves time & effort (and is noob friendly) but getting links in and out can be a pain. It's supposed to be twist and click but in my experience it's more twist and pray. I had to print several replacement links having bent some links completely out of shape.

To be clear, on MakerWorld I'm user "Printer_929" - not "Bowser", the designer of the model.

My biggest problem (but also a great learning experience) was the fact that I saw that little tank and figured I'd build that thing quickly, assuming the CyberBrick components (the entire RC aspect) would be explained along the way. That was not the case: I should have prepared myself a little better (see link in my original message).

Yes it is. And it drives at tank speeds, not "formula 1 car disguised as a tank" speeds. As I have now learned: that is probably due to the 150 rpm gear reduction motors, instead of 400 rpm. :D

My next small project is finished:

And it shoots small projectiles: https://youtu.be/hnHjWrrWTE4

The shooting part with a simple servo was interesting to build. Hey, it's a tank and it's RC, right :)

I hope I didn't give the impression I designed this. I just enjoyed building it. This is the design: https://makerworld.com/en/models/149118 ... Id-1558647

I realise you didnt design it but you did a good job of building it

As they say in neighboring Minnesota here in the US, Tanker929, What a hoot! I could see my Tuesday Make Modeling Mediocre Again group getting a kick out of with little beastie.
