Now both work for me, Alan. I remember some years ago seeing YouTube videos of what appeared to be CH-47 Chinook helicopters being flown at a German Toy Expo. I was soooo tempted.

Collective pitch helicopters are not easy to fly and as you see from the vids im no Stringfellow Hawk

Once upon a time flying model helicopters needed the skill of a professional helicopter pilot, Not any more,
My latest two pretty much fly themselves.
Prefer the Huey over the H64 for sentimental reasons, I used to fly around the Berlin wall at night during the dark days of the Cold War when neither the East German Vopos or the Russians on the "Wall"cared for us doing it,
Fun times.

What 2 have you got ?

Hi Alan a 1 by 34 UH 60 and a UH1D also in 1 by 34, Nice and easy to fly, Like I said I prefer the Huey,
The UH60 has a unique battery shape moulded in the shape of the lower front fuselage which makes it expensive to replace a failed battery whereas the Hueys batteries are simple plug ins,
A limited amount of accessories are available for the pair. although they both came with spare main and tail rotor blades,
They fly well free of the problems my fixed wing aircraft suffer such as trees leaping into the DHC2 Beaver/FW190s way , They are both 1 by 8 but still suffer from the vagaries of English weather.
Ground based vehicles certainly have the edge.
Bought a 1 by 16 Piper Cub but if the wind is more than 5mph it takes on a life of it's own.

The Cub sounds interesting if flown when breezy
