Hello from Frankfurt am Main

Hello!

I'd like to introduce myself here on the forum.
My name is Dominik, I'm 36 years old, and I'm from Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

I've been building models since I was a child. When I was 6, I received my first model kit – a USS Enterprise CV-6 in 1:1200 scale from Revell. Since then, I've built almost everything you can imagine: ships, airplanes, helicopters, tanks, and so on.

As a child, it was always my dream to own one of the Tamiya 1:16 scale tanks. After taking a break from modeling for a few years, I got back into the hobby as a young adult through tabletop wargaming.
Back then, I built and painted Warhammer 40k miniatures, and through painting those, I eventually found my way back to classic model building.

These days, I’ve been building mostly RC models in 1:16 scale for several years, though I also enjoy building the occasional 1:350 scale ship and occasionally work on my "Flames of War" tabletop army in 1:100 scale.

You can see some examples of my vehicles below. Some of you might recognize them and know me from the German-speaking "Heng-Long Panzerforum," where I go by the nickname "Alpharius."

I’ve been following your forum for a while and thought it was finally time to sign up. I'm really looking forward to exchanging ideas and experiences here!

Best regards from Frankfurt am Main!

Hello and welcome from Argyll and Bute. You have some beautiful models. Especially the modern tanks.
