I’ve just arranged a piece of gear to get from our base to a hole called Weipa and it’s 2627kms away.
The Island land of Great Britain is 1407 kms !!
My gear won’t even leave the same state.

What Herman is not saying is the piece of gear that is going across (A very big) State is actualy a 5 Cm washer which he has put in an envelope for the postie to deliver

I'll give you the "by order of the Blinders"!!!

My postie cost $16000 plus a fuel levy
After 20 years here I still get the heebie-jeebies on how much it costs to get big iron around it.
Ole NZ was a lot smaller to navigate.
I've chartered Aircraft, had the seats removed & got our gear in with a forklift on the apron to get to remote places.................
Place is a black hole..................

Had to look up Weipa and suffice to say it won't be on my bucket list of destinations. Just the temperature and place being full of very venomous snakes is enough
