Hello
Quick hello as I just registered & it seems the right thing to do.
Been into rc for more years than I like to admit.
Had more than a few rc tanks over the years too.
Most have been sold on except a couple of smaller scale tigers. One early one late.
I did have a 1/16 t34 for a while that got some use before a friend wanted it so it got moved on.
Been into 3D printing for a few years and have made all sorts of scale models.
Last few have been 40% scale astromech droids.
Decided I wanted to have a go at printing a tank. Found a few files but not certain what to print as yet.

Welcome aboard from the Southern tip of Illinois! I suggest building a German tank like a Panzer II. I’ve always wanted one in 1/16 RC.

Welcome to the fray. You are in luck as we have an entire thread about the tanks available to 3D print:

Indeed I am a fully fledged DalekBuilder yes.
Have a partially completed full scale dalek made from grp with a modified power chair as motive power.
Long story short the dalek progress was haunted by a cancer diagnosis but fingers crossed that’s now behind us things can start moving forwards with all projects with a bit of luck.
Thanks for all the welcomes. I had already seen the thread on printed tanks. That’s what caused me to register and say hello.
I’m leaning towards one of the free to print tanks to start with as a proof of concept as my printers are both quite old and slow. Ender 3 s1 and a prusa mini+.

Although RC model tanks is the main focus on this forum It’s not just about tanks but also lots of other interesting models & projects by some very talented modellers.
Your Dalek sounds great, love to see some photos, we do like photos on this forum.
Wishing you all the best.

Greetings from Wisconsin across the puddle. Clearly you know what you are doing, so you will soon be asking questions and helping others, too.

Welcome from Argyll and Bute. 3D printing is a black art to me. And akin to witchcraft.
We need photos.
