Offered to paint 5 German Panzer Grenadieren for a guy I know from the German HLPF.
These fellows came from Ali and almost everything was shipped in one plastic bag.
I happen to have that same set for my Kübelwagen, so it was quite easy to sort out what belongs to which guy.
This set needed a lot of work to get everything fit together.
Lots of cutting and filing was needed.
But, as usual I completed the job again.
It was the owner‘s choice which colors I used.
The Kharkov Parkas were painted in Buff, 3 pants in German grey and 2 in the peadot camo with paints from AK.
I noticed that the Tamiya paints I used did stick much better onto the resin compared to the AK paints, which I had to redo several times.

As you can see, it can make quite a difference in what colors you use….
Btw, in the first pic below the Grenadiers are not weathered yet.
I used the Tamiya weathering set to create a light altering in pic 2:

For more realism, the rear springs of the overloaded Kubelwagen should be compressed more, the tires flattening on the bottom, their tops rubbing the fenders. (Sorry, I couldn't resist some fun. ) The figures do add so much to your AFVs and other goodies. And I spotted the folded tarp, potato mashers, and buckle as great details.

Very nice figure and uniform painting. Especially like the weathering. Not crazy about the eyeballs but I’m not criticizing your work.

First of all, I am not a pro in painting!
I do not know if you ever painted figures yourself?
If so, you might have found out that the eyes are the most difficult parts of the figures to paint.
It is everytime a new challenge to paint them.

Besides that, on a screen it always looks different than in real life!
The figures are much larger so every mistake will be visible compared to real life.
In real they do not look bad at all, if they are bad at all.
My figures are meant for use outdoors on Panzers running in the field or whatever.
So these details are not quite visible from a certain distance.
It is just like a painting from Rembrandt or van Gogh, you don‘t look at those from a distance of 10cm.
But looked at from a 5m distance, these paintings look amazing!

Painting eyes is a major challenge, hey Rob? Wait! The whole face is a major challenge for me! But now I am longing to get to more figures a.s.a.p. And the s.a.p. won't be too s.

G'day Mr 59, I have been contemplating a set of these too.
Do you think the armed figures would work on a Tank rather than a Kubel?
I would use the driver in my Kubel but am thinking the others could adorn a tank.
