Poor me: I will be away from my modeling for almost three weeks, as I am about to leave on an all-expense-paid Mediterranean cruise. (Those of you familiar with my trips to Scotland and the Danube know how this came about). Before leaving, I am putting up some photos of my interim project (as I wait for electronics for my WCP CCKW and SdKfz. 251).

This is Battleground Models' printed FLAK 38:

Have Great Fun while Gone and Hurry Back Safely! A Three Week Cruise! Ahhhh, the Life of a Gigolo!

P.S. The wire mesh on that Flak is pretty darn sweet too!

Pat O'Day provided the mesh, and some extra to help with the learning experience. I got lucky, measured carefully, and used a thin bead of Pressure Sensitive Adhesive on the outside of the metal frame of the shell catcher. When the PSA cleared, I pressed the netting in place. Of course, the PSA remains sticky, so as dust settles while I am away from the modeling, there should be a dandy weathering effect on the metal frame. ;)
