Hello everyone,
What I am asking is if anyone here has anything to do with the Arduino units and the dasmikro units in 1/16 tanks?
Since ibu3 isn't available any more from what I can search, I've been trying to find other alternatives to mfu instead of the standard henglong ones, I've got a couple of Clarks and ibu3. Just wondering if anyone has installed and used Arduino and dasmikro units and if they are any of them are good?
Many thanks
Sam

I’m going through the process of installing an OpenPanzer TCB and DasMikro for a 1/8 scale build, and it’s great for that. For 1/16 I am partial to ElMod. Beier and SGS are some other favorites around here. I have zero experience with arduino

I use Elmod and Beier. My Kubelwagen has a DasMikro.

My friend uses a dasmicro in 1/10 and 1/6 models. It works fine. Of course, it requires external ESCs and in his case he added an external sound amplifier.

This was posted on a FB group from an RC hobbyist in Vietnam. Offers a nice recap on the various features & user value on commonly available commercial boards.

While I think you can use the DasMikro as a control card, in most cases, I think, it’s just used as a control card.
So no experience with Beier or Clark, but compared to Elmod it pales in comparison. The DasMikro you can have up to I think 93 seconds of total recording time? When used with the OpenPanzer TCB you can have the normal set of tank sounds and then 6 user sounds. Again, you are limited to about a minute and a half total, of sounds.
With the Elmod you can do up to 24 user sounds, and some of my sounds are whole songs, like Master of Puppets or old German parade songs.
Also Elmod is much much more user friendly than DasMikro, and I think Elmod is a larger library of sounds than DasMikro does. But you’re talking $30 versus $300 so…

Hi all thank you for all of your input and thank you to sailor for that great chart, all have been helpful. I ended up getting a dasmikro unit, USB programer and ESC unit for just over a hundred off Ali express so let's see what happens lol
Thank you
