Filters are definitely useful.

Since I can't leave well enough alone AND I don't have time for proper work now. I used a bit of non-existent free time to do a quick weathering job on this garish cat. You can sorta blame Bix for getting me addicted to the airbrush. Yes it's a tool but it's Sooo damned fun it's like a toy to me

Fresh out da box. What a patchwork quilt she be.

Thinned this Kursk soil out a bunch and shot it at 15PSI with a .5mm needle.

Watched some primary school art class videos on YouTube to learn that blue makes the orange yellow tan. Whoo'da thunk? Funny I got these filters several years ago when I started this silly journey. Never even opened or thought I'd open the blue filter
And shot the tan filter over the top to hopefully "unify" as Mig Jimenez always says. Realistically I was trying to erase and make it as light as possible for the magic muck.

Had half a pot of the green for green AFV's and won't likely need it soon before it dries out soooo. On it goes... Plus I don't have lotsa time and I don't want to waste other product. Plus this stuff is soooo user friendly except for I agree with HDP it's kinda messy. I wore gloves.

So
Keep
It
Simple
Stupid,
I used just one pigment. Syrian dust or something like that. And there ya have it. Not half bad. Very down and dirty quick method.

Oh and this stuff is my current favorite primer-
