Good day to all member's, My name is John and my modelling experience is mainly model railways.(Please don't jump down my throat) but don't be too surprised if I ask silly questions about tanks. Over the last few years I have got into tank modelling, and have now got the bug so to speak. I will be embarking on a large project soon and will probably need help with information and expertise on completing this. I will sign off for now but will be back on the forum soon with questions.
Kind regards
john

John, Welcome to the Forum,
There are a fair number of members that have an interest in model railways, My particular interest is LNER immediate post war early British Railways "N" Guage.
A weathered Dapol A4 Pacific with a concentration on Graham Faris Gresley Teak coaches,Plus a shunter or two and a battered Princess Elizabeth class So no laughing from here
Do you have any armour ? What scale and pre war ,War or post war.?
I often say this because it is true the only silly questions are the questions you do not ask, How do you think we became experts

,
We asked questions!!!
Enjoy this place and we are here 24/7 with our world wide membership.

Thank you for your response. I'm lucky to have a large layout 'oo' gauge mainly modelling LMS. I have only built a few plastic kits 1:35 scale recently so far. However years ago I built a 1:16 scale Tamiya radio control Sherman. What got me back building tanks. I went to a model airplane show and on display roaming round the field was a 1:6 scale Armotek Early Tiger 1 which was amazing. After having words with the man who built the thing I decided to do more investigation into this scale and after biting the bullet, I actually ordered one of these kits. (Which could put me totally out of my depth) I am currently awaiting delivery (which should be in the next six weeks), of a king tiger. I am currently doing some research and have decided to build No 312 of the SS Panzer Battalion 501 which was present in the Ardennes campaign. I have seen some photos in a book of this tank which has raised some questions on the build. So I am hopeful that the tank community can help.
Kind regads

Just be aware if you plan taking that monster to any shows in particular 1940s wartime some have a problem with ss markings of any type, certainly in the uk the midlands based ones I do don’t allow any ss markings

Welcome aboard! I’ve been model railroading for almost 50 years in all scales but RC tanks have consumed my modeling time for the last few years.
I think if SS symbols are banned then they should ban the hammer and sickle as well. Just a personal opinion.

Welcome from NJ, USA.
You will get a lot of help from the members.
We love pictures.
In keeping with that, here is picture of my KT.
Mine flies the pennant of the Schwere SS-Panzerabteilung 101.
