Aliexpress had one of the WPL E1's for a 50% off sale, so at $65.00AUD delivered, plus the added ability to use afterpay for easy payments of $11 AUD/Fortnight why the hell not I asked myself !! :D
Righto, so he gets a really oddball little tracked thingo...............what on earth can he use it for ??

Well Im glad you all asked !

An SBT (substitute Battle Tank) :/

Too cute not to like, and too crude not to pass up !!
Of course the global powerhouse of Transnistria(watch out for them at the next Olympics) has turned these old & hopeless machines into half lethal AFV's. :lolno:
Not really but the paint is cool, camo net is a point of difference & the big-ass RPG on the roof is a project on its own.
Could even be a fully meshed out version that might be put to use in Ukraine these days :eh:
The wait for delivery begins.........................

“Afterpay” eh? Is that like “afterglow”? Hmm… As serious as is my addiction, I have yet to finance an AFV. I am “debt averse” said my late wife’s son. Imagine the “cognitive dissonance” between debt averse and toy addiction. Ah poor me! I vote for the camouflaged paint job with the net atop it all.

Ahh yes Good Professor the amount is low but the perceived consideration I have for not taking funds from the family's living income to divert to a model purchase scores highly on the brownie point scale !! :shifty: :shh:
I have got hold of several over the years by that method which otherwise would be out of reach.
I am truly thankful in a way though that Forgebear hasn't yet got the process available.............that would be cataclysmic :haha:

Seen there are metal tracks available for these too.
Not wanting to get into it too deep but seems a good idea.
As it is I have to add a lot of bits to it so it looks like the fully armoured version so metal tracks may not be over reaching !!

Well, damn the torpedoes, it’s on !!

A nice side note is the gearboxes might be a suitable conversion for a static Takom or Das Werk kit.
Still to try this thru a V7 to check operation but the size is favourable.
56mm wide by 30mm high.
Output shafts to be shortened,
