Friday just gone ,4th, 2052hrs. Wife &Daughter returning from dance class, speeding drink driver ran a red light.
1 m further up the car and it would have been a different phone call.
Weathering is not really the driving force in the universe eh
Now no family car

Hopefully everyone is OK. I had an inattentive driver slam into the back of my car at more than 40mph a few years back and then he fled the scene. Did $12,500 damage to my vehicle as he pushed me into the car in front of me.

Yeah mate, shaken up a lot but ok.
The other party fled the scene too, was tracked down & arrested, Not before assaulting his own family members though.
A reminder for me to not worry about things that don’t really matter

Oh sheet. No mater how careful one drives, there is always an a-hole doing their very best to ruin ones day.

The wreck looks horribly crumpled enough to give on the creeps. However, that crumple helped take the shock and protect the beloved dancers inside. Has the insurance company started weaseling yet?

You are right, events like this really put our day to day "worries" in perspective. That was a precious 1 metre for your family!
Mike.

Good to hear everyone was OK. That's the important part. The police here in Austin never caught the guy nor did they care. They wouldn't even file a police report since there were no injuries. Since the accident, I've heard from many others that have had people hit and run. Just goes to show that when you don't go after people, they tend to break more laws.

Things can change in the blink of an eye. Tell your loved ones that you love them. I’m glad things weren’t worse!
