So I got a Abram from motion rc and it is really different from what every video I find on the internet. For starters the battery is located in the front and the screws do not look like they can be removed from the bottom someone said in a different thread you can get remove them from top but looking at the tank i don't see no real way to remove the top. I'll get pictures when I get home

What Version do you have? the 6.0 or the 7.0
If its the V7 there is a small button on the front of the lower glacis plate (Dead center and at the seam of the LG and the upper plate) The button moves only one way, push it over to the left and you should hear a click. then you can tap the top plate that surrounds the driver hatch (I usually tap it around the front) and it should pop up with help from the battery connector. There are also small hinge points at the rear so be careful with opening.

I can take photos for you if this would help.
If this is already known and I completely misread the question please let me know.

It is a new version of the Heng Long Abrams with torsion bar suspension. I just got mine from Toucan Hobby and consider it a huge improvement over the original HL Abrams.

I just got the same tank, took a couple minutes but found the latch in the front to release the upper glacis plate and install the battery. I do want to take the hull apart to detail-and as other noted, the counterbores on the bottom are empty (no screws). OK, I see where the rear screws are accessed under the hatches-but I can't tell in that picture where the ones in the front are. Any hints before I start forcing things? Thanks.

The thread I referenced also shows the location of the front screws. On the new version, all screws to remove the upper hull are accessed from the top of the tank.
