I was all set to buy one of these and the vendor fell through. So, if you have one in your stash and are looking at it thinking, "Who am I kidding, I'll never get around to it", I'd be an interested buyer! I'm in Canada so a Canada/US seller preferred to keep shipping at a reasonable rate.

Kitlinx in the US shows the model in stock, but not sure I trust Kitlinx as it's owned by Loic Anthian. He was the found of Great Models which is now defunct and Field of Armor Tanks which has a rich and storied history of not delivering product after taking people's money. BBB gives them an "F". Many stories of people having to file a dispute before getting what they ordered from Kitlinx.

Andy's HHQ doesn't seem to have it in stock. Andy seems to have a good relationship with Takom so maybe his crew could contact them and see if they are going to do another run of the FT-17. It seems to be sold out everywhere and it seems the last run was in 2017 for the 1004 kit.

I was surprized too when I went searching for an alternate supplier and they are sold out everywhere. I'll give Andy's a call Derek, and see if they know of a new run.

Follow-up: contacted Andy's and out of stock as indicated, so Momo at Andy's contacted Takom and sadly, no plans at present for another kit run. Dang.

Time to start searching all the Canadian online shops to see if there's a sole survivor out there somewhere that's not getting picked up by the Takom goggles search.

So, I did a thing. I bought two from Kitlinx. I won't risk other's money in places I won't risk mine so if I get them I could most definitely sell one. If I get two and you find one up there...I'll just Ebay the other. No harm no foul. Or if it costs too much in the end...like I said I can just sell it on Ebay. I know when I went looking for a full option Sheridan after they pretty much sold out, there were tons of places advertising them in stock because they were drop shipping and didn't actually have them in stock. That may be the case with Kitlinx as I've heard they do that also. Like I said though...it's my dime and I had thought about doing one of these anyway.

I guess we shall see what happens.

Hah! I did a thing, too! Late afternoon I found one at a company called The Hobby Room located in Ontario. Free shipping in Canada, and a tracking number in my hot little hands already. It's listed as out of stock now so I think I scooped the last one! Jackpot!

And thanks very much for going in two deep. Hope Kitlinx is more upstanding these days. You won't have any problem selling a spare one. I would think somebody on here would snap it up, and again, thanks for keeping me in mind, Derek.

NP...I guess you'll have to do a build thread so I can cheat and copy from your experience... I do own the Minialand FT-17 files so think I'm going to print tracks for it depending on how fragile the tracks are.
