I went to the local shop today and was surprised to see a Trumpeter 1/16 scale M-16 halftrack kit,did not know this kit was in production, little over 100.00us.Seems like the Torro M-16 is due for release next month, the Trumpeter kit was static but would be a likely conversion, only had a moment to look as I was Late and they were closing.Intend to give it a good look tomorrow and will post some more information then,Sax

The Trumpeter static kit is supposed to be excellent. But, by all accounts conversion to RC is a real pain as the suspension and steering gear is very detailed and therefore very fragile.

Cheers

Yeah, its been out for ages now hasn't it? I swear I saw it in my local Antics in Worcester last Christmas. Saw a build thread on it about six or seven months ago on another web site that said the suspension left a lot to be desired accuracy wise and was very flimsy if not almost impossible for converting to R/c.

Still a great kit with lots of scope for super detailing but if its R/c you want I'd probably wait till the custom made motorised version comes out. Its pounds for dollars over here but thats no surprise is it?

I agree I have one of these kits (still not built yet)It would take major work to r/c

I think the folks that did RC them ended up using the 21st centuary 1:18 toy for at least some of the running gear
