Hello guys,

New member here.

This was my first tank and my first time doing any kind of modeling and painting so I still have a lot to learn!

Anyway, introducing my Henglong King Tiger. Almost all of the painting / weathering was done with Tamiya weathering master sets. I used a Tamiya weathering mud stick for the thick mud around bottom.

I haven't done any figure painting yet, but i figured that these pics would probably look better without me butchering the figure paint job.

Hope you like it :)

Hi! That's a fine start, indeed. Whereabouts in the world are you?
The stock "Panzermann" who comes with HengLong and some other tanks is rather stiff looking and lacking detail. However, he is good for practice painting. Use the search box upper right for "figure" and you will get ubuku advice and examples. Keep us informed of your fun.

I'm a Brit living in Japan. Been here 13 years.

Thank you for the advice Dr. Professor. I actually have 3 of these Henglong Panzermen now because I got a set of spare parts :) So will certainly give it a go.

That’s an excellent start to your career. The Stock panzerman comes with pretty much every model. He arrived in a challenger and leopard. As HDP says, the are good for practice, and actually don’t look to bad in WW2 German tanks.
