As I sit here on a typical dreich Scottish evening, I get to thinking how lucky I am. The fire is lit, the house is warm, and the soft glow of the candles, and the lights on the tree, cast their warm glow. Carols from Kings is on. I am well fed, and a glass of wine is by my side. I am lucky that I have disposable income. I have a lot more than some. My heart goes to those who are less fortunate than myself. Tomorrow I will go into work and play Santa, and hopefully deliver some cheer to those with dementia. They may not remember what day it is or what they had for dinner, but they all remember cheer and happiness. It just remains for me to wish everyone one on the site a Happy Christmas for tomorrow, unless you are from down under then you have already had Christmas Day, and a peaceful, and prosperous new year. Slange Var.

There are many religions in our country and they all coexist in a friendly family, because God is one!
I have many friends who are Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Lutherans, a Buddhist, a Chinese with an incomprehensible faith (but that's his right) and even a UFO Witness.
So I congratulate the believers and may God be with us!

I have this odd, irrational, but sincere belief that this thread is a kind of prayer, and I hope it's as broadly acceptable to us as Pavel expresses.
