I bought my M16 from Dave at www.forgebeartanks.com many years ago when a lot of the Armour was still using analogue 27 Mhz but the M16 is still on the market my question/s are has the Control board been upgraded to Digital and secondly if it has been upgraded is the one interchangeable with the other ?

they are now on 2.4GHz with better range, but otherwise the controls are just as craptastic as they ever were.

I actually think it drives pretty well. Way better than the crappy Torro MRAPs.

That is a pretty low bar to pass, by all accounts... ;) I have a new M16 I bought this year, and its still not a patch on my older WSN version with the El-Mod board and DX5e. I don't even recall how bad they were on the original 27MHz boards, they got ripped out almost immediately.
Even with the steering servo plugged directly into a spectrum reciever and the main motor running off a $35 ESC, it was still a massive improvement to the driving experience for me.

Having modified the half tracks armoured windscreen into the open position I need to match the armoured screens paint to that of the rest of the vehicle,
So does anyone know what shade of green the Torro M16 is ?

Bonjour,
exact color of Torro? I can't say, but is it really the right shade?
Otherwise to simplify an olive drab the original ref is 41. 42. Or 43. ( Years )And by simplifying with RAL 6022 matt it works. Anyway there are so many variations depending on exposure to UV and other bad weather.

I checked paint charts and decided on "Humbrol Acrylic number 226 Interior Green",
Off to E-Bay and found a company called "Inner Voices" no really :haha: ,
Anyway I ordered a 14 Ml bottle for £2.07 on Tuesday this week it came the next day yesterday Wednesday    ,
Painted the modified screen and you cannot tell the differance between the Armoured windscreen and the rest of the vehicle,
Needless to say I have no connection with the dealer but I do recommend them on both low price and rapid turn round of the order.
