I have been a RC tank enthusiast since well forever. My most recent purchase is T34.

I joined the forum in hopes of learning more and exploring different options available for tank projects.

Well you chose the right tank for options and projects because there are lots of 1/16 T34 RTR models out there, then more still 1/16 plastic kits that are crying for being RC converted, and still more models that are T34 chassis based, then lots of custom body parts, mechanical upgrades, added custom RC functional add-ons and, guess what? If its possible to do, over the past few ears its already been done here

Hello hunter95. Much as I dislike WW2 stuff, I have to admit I quite fancy a T34. As GB01 says plenty of stuff out there for them. Now if it had been a T72, or T90, I might have been more welcoming. Now a little bit more information might be useful. Like where in the world do you reside? Just to help if you require parts, so we know where to give you directions to to the best companies. They were superb tank design, thrown together, cheap as chips, great simple engine and drive, nimble with good armour and guns that outclassed the opposition for most of the war. It was the Russians that beat the Germans and the T34 that most helped them do it. Objectively, probably the best tank in history. No Rolls Royce!

Welcome. From his other post it seems he bought a WSN T-34/85. The upgrade process on that tank is going to be a little more difficult as it's not a Torro/Taigen or Heng Long tank. I had one back in the day and recently acquired a non-running one I'm going to use the upper hull to make an SU-85.

Unlike Germany the Russians did not expect any front line equipment to have a long life so when it came to Tanks they built them tough but finnesse was not included,
Worth remembering in the early days of the Great Patriotic War a lot of the T34s were put together on a concrete base without a roof or walls after the Tank factory's were moved the other side of the Urals in very short order.

The WSN is not one I have tried to get running, but they are subtly detailed more than the similar H/L offering.
Go get em mate, the T34 is a fascinating tank subject, with a mountain of reference pictures.
