New purchase

Post by Lmcoop1982 »

 good morning from the UK.

I have just purchased a 1/24 scale tank for me and my son as a Christmas present. We had 1/16 Tiger 1 and my son remembers it well and has already asked if it can be upgraded.
So I am looking to upgrade parts but struggling to find them.

Many thanks

We have a smaller scale section if you haven't found it yet: viewforum.php?f=128

I remember that scale, but it was unusual compared to 35th. Hopefully you'll find some info in the smaller scale threads. The majority of the members here work with the 1/16th stuff.

Welcome to the forum.

Hello and welcome from Argyll and Bute. I have been told to be kind and helpful to those with Tiger 1’s. Have you looked in the Tiger section? Plenty of builds and ideas there. Dave and Julie, at Forgebear have plenty of upgrades for the Tiger. As a bonus they are members on this site.

Hello, Lmcoop1982. Meter rat has already pointed you to Dave and Julie's Forgebear Tanks: https://www.forgebeartanks.com/store/c1 ... ducts.html, so you are rather well set for parts. There are many here on RCTW who have upgraded Tiger I tanks, from modest fixes to dramatic reworkings: viewforum.php?f=35 and viewforum.php?f=134 . And the Tiger I is so well known that there is information galore online and in books: viewforum.php?f=79

You've found the right place; your questions are welcome; and we do like to hear of your and your son's progress on the projects. Go get 'em!

I think we are moving too fast toward the 1/16th Tiger. I believe he is searching for 1/24th upgrade parts.

Come back, Lmcoop1982! Ecam might be right. Did we get the wrong scale?
