And now we can all sleep easy knowing the jacks we place on our German models can be the correct version
That is unless they get purloined by a rampant "jack-nik"and disappear into the wilderness...............(remember this ole chestnut Mr Jarndice!!?)
Also in the links are rabbit holes galore...............dont say you were not warned !!

Fond memories of a light fingered eastern frontTanker Herman,
This is a nice addition to knowledge that is going to murder even more very precious brain cells,So thanks for the research,
I cannot imagine anyone making all of the different types of jack, Indeed I know of only 2 variants on the market and I have the correct ones on the right Tanks ----I Think.
I suppose if you were so inclined you could modify a jack of one pattern into another they do not look too different.
The problem I have always had with them is getting hold of the handles so to speak

Can I just add that the Aber and Voyager etch brass kits for the Tiger 1 have the Jack mounts for the 15T jack not the 20T jack. So you spend hours 3d printing and detailing a 20T only for it to be too wide for the 15T Jack mounts.........
It you can detect several minutes of banging my head against my workbench in this post you are correct.

If someone points out that the 15T jack on my
Sturmtiger is too light, I'll sing:

Good Evening!
Correct Jacks on the matching Armor ( Even the Jagdtiger where the Tank Destroyer was way too heavy for even a 20 ton jack and block to be of any great use ( maybe a wheel removal )?
It's fun building the Jacks using the plastic versions as a base and adding the brass.
regards,
Painless
P.S. I remember that Winter Tiger, Mr. Bix and all of the Commanders trouble with those thieving partisans\black market collectors ;0)

Ha but the thought of it will eat at you constantly like the old man's eye in Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart
Actually I find the article very informative. I need to spend more time on my panzer jacks, especially the mountings and now with so many 3D ones available I might re-visit all of them.
