Tongde Centurion servo setup question

Hey Guys,

Does anyone know how to get the recoil servo working on a tongde Centurion board?
There's 2 servo slots... one for cannon recoil and one for gun elevation.....on the handset you press both A n B buttons together....I can get the cannon sound but no servo operation....what am I doing wrong? :headbang:

Hoping someone knows.....I'm trying to set up with a 17pdr barrel.....just need it to recoil once and I'll then know the rest position so I can fix the barrel correctly.

Thank you

Ace

I have a similar issue with my Churchill it does track recoil but no gun recoil. Which I hate. But as it’s having a Clark’s eventually it will all be re wired anyway.

I find with tongde and coolbank things can get missed during assembly so the first thing I would check is that it is plugged in the right way round if at all.

it might be the micro switch you need to make a jumper for it so both pins are connected. Thats how it works on the heng long tk 6.1-7.1. the tongde board is a cheap version of the heng long board so could be the same.

Thank you...I'll try it... its originally a bb and no recoil....the board is equipped with 2 servo ports....elevation works perfectly.

Hello Ace,

If I remember correctly the board that is shipped in the tongde centurion doesn't have the barrel servo recoil capability, it shows it in the manual but I think the board is based on the heng long 6.0s version or similar that also didn't have it, heng long introduced it in their 6.1s board ( someone may have figured out how to do it but I never did myself ).
I've upgraded my cent to barrel recoil using one of Andrew Hayas tk50 Clark boards, this has all the functions you will need including the cent sounds, hope this helps πŸ‘

Cheers, Lee.

Hi Lee,

I've just bought a clark tk50 board from Andrew....
I was just trying to see if I'd got the barrel in the right place and the servo in the correct position for the barrel to sit correctly in the mantlet.

Do you.have a pic of the clark board connected up? That would be very helpful as I don't want to damage the board.....I'm kind of new to these boards....I've heard they can be delicate lol.

I think you are right .....there's no power at those pins....the elevation servo port does have power however.

It'll be a mix n match wiring but at least if you have a pic of the relevant wiring on yours I can schoolboy copy it :D

Thank you for your help

Ace

Hi Ace,

I've attached a copy of Andrew's board instructions, what recoil mechanism/unit did you use/install ? I usually make my own so they are custom to each tank as I've shown below
