Intro - Sorry for the Delay

Hi, I'm sorry if I upset anyone making a post before introducing myself.

I work 55-60 hours a week doing Rideshare/Food Delivery, as I struggle to get a job due to my age especially after I had a major Car accident last year, where my Premium car was written off. I broke my wrist and tore a tendon. I will most likely have to have surgery.

I also have issues with some teeth, but cannot afford treatment.

I am also a semi professional musician. I plat Guitar and Synth, but I am still struggling 9 months on.

My Doctor, suggested another hobby to, try and develop my hands, and I decided to 3D print a tank. I have parts everywhere, in my room, and my partner has been stresssed out about how messy this is.

Now I find out that the motors, I ordered were incorrect, the designer is on holidays, and I don't know when I will get an answer. I asked , what I thought was a genuine question, and for this I apologise. Meanwhile, I have to deal with my partner dealing with her 17 year old know it all daughter, being troublesome. However, her father, gets free medical care ASAP, care of us Australian taxpayers, as he was a radio op in Saudi Arabia for the Armed services

On top of this, today would have been my son's 30th birthday, however, he is no longer with us.

So, Hello.
I hope to have more input, where/when possible.
;)

Yes. My ex Grand Father in law, spent 3+ years in Changi.

I have a rare surname, as I had a large branch of my family killed in WW1. So much, there is a street named after them in Newcastle.

Well there you go, great. Sorry for your worries. For your engine problem? is your tank a Tiger I in 1/16th scale? so if you browse this great forum in the Tiger I post, you should find answers there

Welcome to the forum Darug. Please feel free to include pictures of your build as it progresses, I for one would love to see how your 3D printed Tiger I will look compared to the kits out there. Most of the 3D tanks we see are for non-available in kit form or RTR tanks.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada!
The wrong gearboxes? That is excellent news. Means you'll need to print a second tank that uses those gearboxes! Waste not, want not!

Mike.

Greetings and salutations, Darug. I see that you got some quick responses to your question about motors for your plan to 3D print a Tiger I. As Meter rat suggests, there are many Tiger 1 in 1/16 scale available ready-to-run---although there are always ways to improve those. I cannot recall anyone actually 3D printing a Tiger 1. If you can provide more details and photos, the help could be more specific and useful to you. For starters, can you confirm the scale of the Tiger I you are printing? If it's already printed, do you have a photo of the lower hull so that one can see where/how the electric motors might fit? And what electronics do you intend to use. These will indicate what motors are compatible.
