Good Afternoon,

Retired from a 35 year career of international teacher. I've been been building and flying r/c balsa for three years. I'm also into CAD/CAM and have a Prusa Mk4 3d printer, I stumbled onto a 1/10 r/c tank stl file. After some poking around, I ended up here!! OMG!!!!!! Didn't know this existed!!!! Too cool, super excited!!!!

Thanks for the invite!!!

Welcome from Ontario, Canada! 3D printing pretty much opens up a huge range of possibilities and scales. The rabbit holes await!

Mike.

Welcome Thembi. Before printing that 10th scale tank take a look at our Larger Scale Military (builds): viewforum.php?f=80 Most of us here work in 16th but there a few who like the tenth and even 1/6th scale. I only mention this because there are more drivetrain, tracks and such for 16th. The others often require custom drivetrains.

As I said, welcome aboard.

Hello, Thembi! Based on what you say above, you are well-prepared for the 1/10 project, and many more. The Larger Scale Military folks will probably jump in eagerly to help you with questions and problems. I have noticed that many building in 1/10 use parts from RC cars and trucks of that scale with remarkable results.
