Yes a bit of an odd one, but we do like designing and building tractors alongside the military models.
This Thompson refueling tractor wwould have been used on airfields during the war to drive out to aircraft and refuel

Bit of an odd machine as the tractor was really a massive moving fuel tank with a set of pumps and was a 3 wheeler!

Meant very good manouverability, but i cant imagine very comfortable to drive.

Open cabin and max speed in single finger digits, although i think that is probably best considering the robin reliant type setup

Pictures to follow sooooon

Perhaps steering that tank full of fuel wasn't so bad at all. It's pretty much what we in the U.S. called a "narrow front" tractor from the days when crops were mechanically cultivated. And given that an airfield has to be relatively smooth and level, the ride may have been better than in any farm field. (I live on a steep hillside, and I once owned two old "narrow front" Farmalls.) Above all, that is a Uni-Q machine.

I do have a newer variant of the Case VA tractor with the VAC narrow crop front end
