Is the Heng Long 7.0 transmitter universal for all 1/16 TK7.0 control board equipped RTR Heng Long tanks or is it model specific? I bought a used but well cared for #3918 M1A2 Abrams without a transmitter and was wondering if my question was correct or not.

The V7 transmitter will work with either V7 or V7.1 boards, not with V6 etc .

Follow the binding method:

Transmitter on and hold down start button
Turn on tank while keeping start button down
Tank will bind and start

Please take note that the 7.1 board has an extra channel not present on the 7.0 board (CH5 the 360 servo), so the 7.1 controller has the corresponding lever to control it. The 7.0 controller doesn't have that lever. So if you plan to use a 7.1 board, it's better to use the 7.1 controller in case you want to use that channel in the future.
