Newbie to the hobby

Hello and thank you for allowing me to join!
I live in the U.S. (Las Vegas, Nevada) and have done RC stuff for decades. From planes, cars, boats, to submarines I have spanned the gamut of things to run, except tanks. Well that is changed. Several months ago, I was given an unassembled Field of Armor (FOA) Tiger I kit that was missing parts and collecting dust. So, I have been making parts and working to build it.

Well, this past Father’s Day, my son gave me a Heng Long King Tiger. It arrived today! Really looking forward to learning more.

Again, thank you for allowing me to join. It is inspiring to see what others have done.
Peace,
Tom

Welcome from Texas. That FOA kit can be made into a nice tank. FOA may be able to get parts for it, but I wouldn't count on it. Loic, the owner, hasn't been known to be the most reliable source of stuff. Lots of promises, very little actual results. You might be stuck 3D printing replacement parts for that Tiger. Detail parts can be had from a number of vendors, but even some of them aren't around anymore.

This is an empty message created by an old guy who makes mistakes. :haha:

Hello, baked Salmon. I am trying to remember the Field of Armor Tiger I. Whatsamadder with me? And now a Königstiger! Oh, you are most welcome here to join the fun, asks questions, show us your accomplishments (almost guaranteed to be better than mine), and answer our questions about RC. Unh, at bit warm there, isn't it. We're hitting the 90s F here in Wisconsin, certainly no record heat wave, but warm enough to cook our bratwurst.
