In the quest for a quirky model I may have gone too far!
From one picture the idea sprouted and then stalled due to a lack of any idea how to do it.
The wife had an idea that one of her school mum mafia mates could help.
Turns out a 78 year old South African was due into the country to babysit while parents were in Europe.
This kind lady took it on and did her best to give me the bare canvas on which I could work to match the picture.
Long road ahead but will be a different look from most.

What a HOOT! Do such covers really exist in 1:1? I never see equipment covered here in Wisconsin, where it would make some sense. Then, too, I wish I knew someone who could sew such goodies! I can see the canvas cover for trucks, etc. Above all, Bix, I like it!

The real ones are thermal blankets that are supposed to reduce the heat signal visible to electronic detection and optical target acquisitioner systems.
A steel lump in a desert sun glows like a beacon at night as its thermal signature is so powerful.
The blankets reduce that reflection and emission.
I have a pic of a Merk in a blanket but the resizing won’t stick.
I will figure it out and post asap
