Re: Tongde next model - M109A2 howitzer
Good news.
At first sight, the overall shape compares well to pictures of the real thing. There are lots of simplifications and missing small elements of course but it looks like a very good base. Hatches are usually not a TONGDE strongpoint and it also shows here. The barrel seems a bit thin at the base.
Gun barrel smoke will be a must on these.
With so many variants produced from 1963 to the present, used in all wars and sold around the world, possibilities for mods and markings are endless.

I'm already planning on one but I want to know it that box on the back of the turret is separate or moulded

Re: Tongde next model - M109A2 howitzer
Well done, Tongde! Poppin' out tank after tank, while several other companies go stagnant. Between Coolbank, Tongde, and HL, the tank world is getting better and better. I guess they have their issues and inaccuracies to be sorted, but for their average buyer they probably don't matter much. For folks here, it's just another fun challenge.
Not my cup o' tea as a buyer, but definitely my cup o' tea as a supplier! Dear Tongde Design Group--so it's about these M3 Grants, or Matilda II's, or Pz 38(t)'s...
Mike.
