BUT WHAT IF ITS RAINING?

You all will know this picture................seems a gentile way of keeping the rain off, and hopefully Typhoon rockets too !
I have a T.C.that is a straight reproduction of the bad guy in the movie T34.
He looks more like a U-Boat commander to me than a tank guy but hes still a cool figure., from Ozarmour Rc a while back.
Ive removed his Luger pistol & cleaned up a hole that will accept an umbrella handle which I will need to make .
The canopy is a cocktail gimmick that apparently holds some sort of embellishment in your drink.............
(Stick one of these in mine & I would probably stick it in your eye.................

)
I just want to soup-up my old Jagdpanther with a bit of a something, & this guy might just be that something
.

Go easy on the cocktail umbrellas, Bix, I have not seen one for at least fifty years, and I would keep it for just the purpose you have in mind. The idea for the figure is great, and look forward to seeing him in command of the Jagdpanther.

What a great photo! The things you never think about--rain running down your collar whilst you try to overrun a country. I guess most TCs figured it was too hard to look imperious with one of these poking outta the cupola.

But good on your uboat guy for knowing that comfort always trumps style!
Mike.

Of all the dumb ideas I’ve had, this is right up there with the best.
You can have this figure painting thing, it’s just a damn chore
I ran an experiment on his pants just to see if it would work and what colours might work.
I reckon I’ve done the easy bits so now it leaves the terribly small details!

Keep going, Bix. This painting takes practice, and you are not doing badly
at all. In fact, I see those camouflage pants as a challenge for me to try.

Thanks Proff, they might pass muster at a distance but close up the raindrop pattern is loose and crooked.
I can always go over them with black as necessary.

Do you have magnifying lenses, such as these?

They will make slips of the paint brush look monstrous, but they also make the details easy to see. Also, avoid coffee before painting.

I've used this type of magnifier for over a decade, and need them more and more with each passing month.
