Re: Dad's sherman Kangaroo
That's different and interesting, and certainly shows real weathering skill. Is the upper hull 3D printed? I wonder how the "tub" replacing the turret basket is fitted without tangling with the electronics and wiring.
Re: Dad's sherman Kangaroo
It's the mato sherman, it currently hasn't got any electronics in it and the tub is a round tray from a plant pot

Knowing nothing about Shermans, what was the purpose? Were these used as troop carriers, or have I mixed things up? As usual.

Re: Dad's sherman Kangaroo
Here's the original type of Kangaroo, a Canadian Ram with the turret removed. I was sure I took pics of the interior but I'm a bonehead and did not. Simple wood benches along each side for the troops. As the need for Priest SPs declined they would use those as well with the howitzer removed and the opening plated over--a defrocked priest was the nickname.

I see that the Kangaroo you photographed uses the early return roller design. I believe Australia got many of those. Oh, then, too, it looks as if the priest is getting a ride away from the rectory.
