Hey all, I’m Paul. I have an old HL tiger 1 that I plan to turn into something special and accurate.

Cheers,

Paul.

Welcome. I'm the odd duck that doesn't own a Tiger, but plenty of folks here do.

Hello, Paolo! Indeed, the Tiger I will allow you many interesting possibilities for upgrades, details, and so much more. Is your old Tiger I old enough to use the crystals? Or s it a bit newer?

I even more of an odd duck. I “NEVER” wanted a Tiger, because everyone has one. Now I’ve ended up with two.

Hey all, thanks for the welcome.
I think this tank is likely v.1 - it’s got tx & rx crystals!
I bought it… maybe 15 years ago!
Early version, tracks, drive & idler wheels & gearboxes upgraded to metal versions at the time. Want to make it in to something accurate & interesting, with the judicious use of newer parts & El-mod board etc. I can see the only part remaining original being the hull top!

Paul.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada! Search accurizing a tiger on here and you will find many threads, including the daring turret repositioning manouvre!

Secret option B - the Hobbyboss static Tiger 1 kit should be able to be fitted to the HL chassis without too much hassle, and will fix the issues around the turret ring being in the wrong place relative to the turret.
