What is this tube on the port side?
It looks like a very formidable tampon.

I used the Haynes' automotive repair books for YEARS. It wasn't until I bought their Sherman and Tiger books that I knew they made these. I'm really glad they did!

I love 'em. Their PZIII and Stug books are fun reads, and the Churchill volume made me realize what a beautifully ugly tank it is.
Pre-internet, Haynes manuals were my saviours for so many of the bangers I owned. Chilton manuals not so much!
