Büssing NAG 4500 - 4.5 ton medium-duty all-wheel drive truck of the Wehrmacht 1942/43

Hello,
my last build...
As a combined Christmas and birthday present I received a 1/16 scale kit from Veroma of the Büssing 8000 S13.
However, the driver's cab is nothing for converting this into a 4.5 ton Wehrmacht truck - no dimensions, no shape, nothing fits the Büssing NAG 4500.
And if you're going to convert everything, then do it properly - i.e. all-wheel drive!

But first I thought about what I could do and what solutions were available...
- Make your own driver's cab and mudguards
- Driven front axle => convert a Veroma rear axle
- Take the flatbed from the kit
- Gearbox from the kit drive package and a 1:1 transfer case
- Rims and tires from AFV-Modell
- Make your own wheel hubs
- Electronics Beier SFR-1

Then to the computer and started Fusion360...
A few hours later a result:

Here is a drawn solution if and how you can convert a rear axle to a front axle:

Yes, I know, the steering joints are shown twisted...

Then the 3D printer got to work...
First printed sample parts in PLA and checked if everything fits....
Then the conversion parts were printed from PETG-CF (carbon fiber reinforced)
Here is the finished front axle "test-fitting" in the frame:

I also printed many additional parts from PETG-CF.

Then it was the turn of the driver's cab, which was also printed in PETG, including test prints of the mudguards in gray:

This made it possible to determine the required length of the cardan shafts, which were then ordered from Veroma.

Good start Are you using the commercial version of F360, or the hobbyist licence?

I am again so impressed by your skill, Herr Hamm! I have one question. Your front axle steering is equipped with a fine adjustable tie rod and what I know as a "drag link," the link to the steering gear (i.e. the servo). Did you print those? ...machine them yourself? ...buy them somewhere?

i am use the hobbyist license of Fusion360.
The steering linkage with the cone heads is included in the kit

Let's continue with time-consuming add-on parts...

The holder for the spare wheel was brazed from brass profiles:

Since the shift servo is located behind it in the frame, the tire has to make some space:

I am use the hobbyist license of Fusion360.

Thats a pity, I have the AFV club kit in the 'mountain of shame' that I could have pulled out and helped with a few detail parts for you, but Autodesk take a dim view of mixing files from hobby and commercial versions

The last parts have been fitted.
These are a compressed air tank under the driver's cab and the spare wheel under the flatbed:

jhamm, I am continually impressed by your skill, and your Büssing is yet another example. I was intrigued to see a quite familiar taillight shape on this model, for that is the taillight I recall seeing on real trucks here in the U.S., including a few that I drove in the late 1960s and early 1970s. I have no idea what firm(s) made that taillight, but I saw it on various brands of medium duty trucks.

the housings of the the taillights are 3d-printed.
The colored lenses are available from Veroma:

Veroma have a lot of parts for 16 scale trucks.
