RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

Hi …. I’m the project manager for a ww2 event in north Devon called Holsworthy 44 ( EX22). I’m looking for a group to bring RC tanks and create a battle for us? Or bring rc tanks and demonstrate them in a display area? On the weekend of 26 – 28th JULY 2024.
Would anyone here do this sort of thing ?

Hello there, Poodlewoman: as your introduction was a tad unusual for this forum, many may be a bit hesitant to respond, and, perhaps given the online trickery nowadays, even hesitant to use the link. Perhaps you could tell us a bit more about the event to see if some UK RC tankers might responds. (Sorry, because I am a few thousand miles away, my participation is out.)

The lack of response is probably down to the location, I'm not aware of any groups being that far south that have members on this forum.

Hi thanks for that. I have seen the armoured division of the PMBD group from Portsmouth and would love to find a group like that who could come. We would pay a fuel subsidy to the right team …….

We are a legitimately event fully licensed by council . We are filling a very large park with military vehicles, reenactors and living history groups. Plus we have 2 tanks and some half tracks!
For the right crew - we will subsidise fuel to travel here. It would mainly be for the Saturday only but could add Sunday morning before the live skirmishes.

...a fuel subsidy, eh? Well, let me see here...a Boeing 737 at 2,500 liters/hour at 7.5 hours O'Hare to Heathrow, so about 18,500 liters would get an airliner over your way. No deal, hunh? Oh, well.
However, I sincerely do hope some UK RC tank group, already formed or ad hoc, can take up this opportunity for fun.
