The second in my series of "what if" alternate history tanks. This is a 3D printed "360W Boreal Phaser" turret mounted on a Heng Long T-34 chassis. The turret file can be found on the Cults3D file sharing website as the "M4 Sherman Medium Tank for Dust Warfare 1947", author Anerdsnerd. Originally in 1/48 scale, it was upscaled by JVM3DConcepts to 1/16 scale. I modified it with a rotating beacon I installed in the barrel to simulate the energy beam. I also installed an IR battling emitter and receiver, and a turret mounted MG flashing LED.

The backstory for this one continues the one for my 1946 Gatling Panther: "Following the extension of World War 2 as noted in my "Gatling Panther" thread, battles continued to rage across Europe, North Africa and the Mideast. This spurred many advances in weapons technology, including focused energy beams. Given the continuing need for tracked vehicles to support this new weaponry, existing inventory was drafted for use. In this case, an Egyptian T-34 chassis was mated to a modified AMX turret. The conflict had spread to desert theatres, so the vehicle remained in a compatible color".

You are getting the props for a science fiction movie, Bob! That must be the influence of So. Cal. (All too long ago, when I was at USC, it seemed that everyone was trying to get into screenwriting while I plodded along amid esoteric stuff.) This and the Gatling Panther are marvelous exercises in anachronism, fun to see. Thanks for showing them over here on RCTW!

You must be high and dry: I have been seeing online photos of flooded streets in Long Beach. Were I there still on cockroach and gang infested 9th Street, I would need waders.

Fun fact. There is a tabletop wargame called "Konflikt 1947" (a spin-off of "Bolt Action") with such plasma, laser and electric guns ;)

Good thing Putin doesn't have this tank. We'd all be in trouble. Awesome work as usual.

Thanks guys! Kazcor, I'm sure that game or one in that genre was the inspiration for the 3D files in question. HDP  , fortunately our house is up on a mesa. The wet concrete in the photo is as bad as we got

Such a fun and cool build Bob, glad you are sharing it here. I also like that you can swap turrets on a whim. Great work.
