Surprisingly, I realized that I have never shown the construction of our Kettenkrad here. I want to make up for that now and show a few pictures and a video.

Fantastic work. Kind of spooky without a rider.

Never thought I'd see a 16th RC Kettenkrad! Wow!

A long time ago a firm called Andrew Designs started up, they produced kits of a 222 and a 223 you sometimes see these of ebay. They also produced a Kettenkrad. I was lucky enough to acquire one.

The Kettenkrad kit came with metal tracks and electronics it also had a jointed figure that moved when the steering was moved. All the kits had problems some requiring updates before they could be built or run. In some respects they were very good kits in other respects they were awful. If my memory serves me well , it was impossible to build the metal tracks for the Kettenkrad as per the instructions you had to scratch build a jig to hold the tracks during assembly.

The firm were on the verge of producing a Horch and a 234 when they went out of business.

My point is darn few can manage to stuff well working RC equipment in such a small space! You and Modler are some of the few who seem to have the knack for it. Heck, I have trouble in 16th tanks at times.

Your Video shows a very smooth running and steering micro bike. The HL truck kit with it's off/on throttle/steering is the opposite of what you've done.

I would be cool to see a rider on that, but I'd have no idea how to pull that off!

It is cool. Would look cooler in a column of half-tracks, swimwagons, and trucks. :)
