I decided to purchase some today from a specialist, I thought I'd share before I devoured them with my crab and seafood salad

So are "eels boiled in broo" anything like those little phlegmatic beauties?
In Grade 8 English, we read "Lord Randall" and our teacher Mrs. Bryce (recent to Canada and looked like Audrey Hepburn's prettier sister), extolled the virtues of eels boiled in broth for quite awhile when we hit that line in the ballad.
Dang, that's along time ago. I still remember Mrs. Bryce in her Scottish accent yelling for us unruly bairns to "Settle dooon, settle dooooon!"
This is in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in the mid-70s. My last name is "Ogilvie" so I got away with murder in that class. She told me I was descended from a fine clan of neds and highwaymen. Good times.
