The Vintage Car Store Sherman Restoration

I stumbled upon this story while checking to see if the Vintage Car Store in Nyack, New York was still going. What a project to take on, and what luck to have!

My connection was buying a Triumph there in 2005. Sixteen hour round trip, and I did it twice. Once to check out the Triumph GT6, and the second time to pick it up with a uhaul auto transporter trailer. Crossing the border back into Canada and dealing with Customs agents was a joy. No shermans when I stopped by, but there was a Buick Regal Grand National that Mariah Carey used in a video. Purple velour interior! The salesman, Dan Dionne, laughed when he showed it to me and said, "Still not sure why I bought it."
