It's been a long long time

Good evening Boys and Girls.

It's been a very long time since I posted on here since life kind of got in the way of my tank builds. But in recent times my interest in this side of the hobby has increased.
The hiatus was partly due sailing and racing rc yachts for quite a long time and that hobby in itself can take up a lot of spare time. What with designing the next world beating hull, prepping hulls and sailmaking etc.
So what have I got left in relation to rc tanks. Well I've still got my Tamiya Sherman and a very old spec. Heng Long 27mhz Panzer 3 with metal upgrades.
Things seem to have changed a lot regarding rc tank vendors and I just wondered where you people buy your tanks and upgrade bits from ? The reason for the question is that I like the look of the Heng Long Sherman and Stug 3 and wouldn't mind buying one of each If the support for spares and upgrades is good.

Thanks for reading.

Nick

Since you're from England, Forgebear will probably be your best seller.

although they wont sell to anyone in the UK for less than 160 euros,
Anyway as Jimster said welcome back

I concur with both Kaczor's recommendation of Forgebear and jarndice's of Licmas, Welcome back to RC tanks and RCTW.

Welcome Back. I also support Forgebear.

I don't know how it works over the pond but Motion RC is also a good company to deal with. They have a growing business here in the states and also a European branch.

Thanks again for the extra welcomes.
In the past one of my niggles with the HL Panzer 3 was the undersized rear idler. These days I understand CAD and 3d printing. So I thought I would have a go at designing a wheel myself and print it.
The pic shows a proof of concept and workflow that I created basically "freehand" in Fusion 360. The dimensions are not correct by any means, but with some adjustment and some more carefully placed fillets it should look pretty good.
I just hope the pic sizes properly and doesn't end up the size of a football pitch.
