Re: I got my 1st stripe.
To date we have only had one General although Hermann is fast approaching that exalted rank
Both Hermann and Alpha have one thing in common, They both live/d in the Pacific area of the World so if you are chasing promotion perhaps you should aquire a bus ticket to Midway Island
The way to gain promotion on this site is to write pertinant or interesting or helpful messages to the Forum
By the way in the British Army unlike the US Army a Brigadier is not a General for all he/she is a one Star rated senior officer it used to be different but post WW2 there was a shuffle in senior appointments in the service.

I think I am about to upset someone

Re: I got my 1st stripe.
Or post rubbish everyday until you get promoted

Re: I got my 1st stripe.
I remember when this forum design implemented "rank" or special "titles" based on post count. That was around 2000-2001. I used to frequent a car enthusiast forum of the same design. I just went back there to check my stats, I have 8,135 posts that started in 2001. Last time I posted there was 2021 on an OG roll call thread, and then I just checked it now. they have since removed "ranks" and "titles".

Oh, so, that's what you're doing, to get promotion from Lieutenant to Captain

with the British rank system, used on this British forum, privates don't get a stripe, one stripe is for Lance-corporal, which isn't quite a Corporal lol.michaelwhittmann wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 4:11 pm Went from recruit to private.

Well, I lost nearly 4000 posts when I was, um, er, reset lol. So, I would have over 10,500 now lol.jarndice wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 4:26 pm To date we have only had one General although Hermann is fast approaching that exalted rank![]()

Have you tried attaching a drill and winding it on a bit?

I've been a recruit since 2016. That's what happens when you get distracted by Land Rovers
