Hi from Devon. Bought my son a Heng Long Sherman for Christmas and now a colleague has given us a Heng Long Tiger 1. The Tiger 1 is a non runner. I know very little about these models so looking for advice. Should I ask questions in a different forum? We have admired these models at Tankfest for a number of years but really impressed with the Sherman so far!

You could ask for advice/help in a separate thread

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. The best tank is a free tank! Pop some pics of the Tiger and the controller it uses in a new post and it'll be a runner in short order I'll bet. Or at least you'll be on your way to it being a runner. The HL Tiger can be a bit of a swine to open up (remove tracks to get at a couple of screws), so many broke down--like tanks do--and never got repaired, or got a bit bashed up trying to be repaired. Help is here for you!

Mike.

Thanks Mike. I have posted in a new thread, apparently there are some crystals missing.

As you try to get the Tiger going, how is the Sherman running? You do have a bit of authenticity, for Shermans, though outgunned, ran much more reliably than Tigers. In fact, when a Sherman met a Tiger, it’s best, slim chance was to run—away. (The new battery you bought will work in the Sherman, too, as you likely have already figured out.)
